The baby who’s not really a baby anymore. 🥹

One exciting thing about the kids getting older is (re-)discovering childhood stories and heroes together. I played The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening with the older one and found it fascinating how we bonded over it. Gaming wasn’t really a thing for me growing up, so it’s a glimpse into my husband’s childhood too.

And this is only the beginning! I’m looking forward to introducing them to all the epic stories. 🤩

A windy walk on the Gruffalo trail, rewarded with coffee, lemonade and a stunning view across the Rhine valley and Bergstraße region.

We had a big Gruffalo phase earlier this year and went on this trail almost every other day when we had just moved to Weinheim. Of course it was winter then, the trees were bare and my fingers got freezing cold from peeling tangerines for the kids. It was a difficult time, as it always is with big changes and adjustments, but I’m also grateful for it and those small moments we cherished. 🍊
